Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (molecular biology, oncology, immunology, cell biology, or similar), or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or Doctor of Medicine.
  • Documented strong academic background in relevant disciplines.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English.
  • Experience with laboratory methods such as PCR, flow cytometry, and cell culture preferred.
  • Handling laboratory animals or completion of a relevant experimental animal course is advantageous.

Description

The successful applicant will assess a new mRNA-based immunotherapeutic drug in preclinical settings, primarily at NMBU, along with collaboration at partner institutions. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in drug production (in vitro transcription).
  • Conducting in vitro efficacy testing.
  • Performing in vivo experiments using animal research models.

The PhD candidate is expected to develop a work plan within the initial months of their position, aiming to complete their doctorate within the scholarship period.
