Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants must:

  • Hold an MSc in Medical Physics, Medical Informatics, Applied Sciences, Informatics, Chemical Engineering, Radiochemistry, or Nuclear Physics/Chemistry
  • Have strong computational skills (e.g., Python, Geant4, TensorFlow)
  • Preferably possess knowledge of GANs or Diffusion Models
  • Be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Thrive in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment

🧾 Job Description

The PhD candidate will:

  • Study radiobiological damage by ionizing particles (Ac-225, Pb-212, Lu-177, Ho-166)
  • Conduct Monte Carlo simulations for micro-dosimetric analysis
  • Develop AI tools (GANs, Diffusion Models) to simulate energy deposition and DNA damage
  • Contribute to optimizing real-time cellular damage estimation
  • Be part of TU Delft’s Graduate School, participating in Doctoral Education programs
