Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc in Biology or related field
- Documented skills in molecular plant biology
- Desirable experience in plant cell biology, protein biochemistry, and transcriptome/proteome profiling
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A strong interest in molecular plant–microbe interactions
Job Description:
- Identify cell death-related peptide signals in maize plants
- Study the role of phytocytokines as danger and pro-survival signals
- Investigate plant proteases involved in regulated cell death
- Collaborate with partners working on cell death regulation in other plant systems and human diseases
