Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a strong background in behavioural psychology, environmental science, conservation, or related fields.
  • An interest in studying human-nature relationships and behavior change.
  • Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A passion for nature conservation and sustainability.

Job Description:

The selected PhD student will work on developing and testing behavior change interventions aimed at achieving conservation goals. They will engage in activities such as:

  • Testing models and theories of pro-environmental behavior.
  • Exploring relationships between different nature-friendly behaviors.
  • Investigating the links between nature-friendly behavior and human well-being.
  • Conducting interviews, qualitative data analysis, and survey development.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to identify effective system leverage points.
  • Evaluating behavior change interventions in collaboration with DEECA, RBG, and other partners.
