Research Area:
Environmental geomicrobiology with a focus on microbial processes in the subsurface, contaminant transformations, and the nitrogen cycle.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Educational background in microbiology, preferably with molecular biology experience.
- Proven laboratory experience in molecular biology.
- Desirable experience with anaerobic bacteria.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and at least one programming language.
- Fluency in English.
- Self-motivation, scientific curiosity, critical thinking, rigor in experimental work, and good communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of an international team.
- Enthusiasm and good organizational skills.
Job Description:
- Investigating anaerobic microbial methylation in environmental isolates and generating mutants.
- Creating E. coli constructs for microbe-microbe interaction experiments.
- Conducting laboratory experiments.
- Participating in general laboratory tasks.
- Performing first-class scientific research.
- Writing scientific publications.
- Attending and presenting at international conferences.
