Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Average grade point for Master’s degree courses must be B or better in the Norwegian educational system.
  • Strong experience in scientific programming (R, Python, or equivalent) is required.
  • Background knowledge in computational Bayesian methods, statistical learning, or unsupervised learning is advantageous.
  • Experience with large datasets and biomedical applications is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and oral).

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop Bayesian models and methods for integrating complex molecular datasets.
  • Collaborate with project members to achieve common research objectives within the BRIDGE project.
  • Engage in the development of proprietary codes, algorithms, and ensure research reproducibility.
  • Conduct data analyses, prepare manuscripts, and communicate research findings.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and contribute to the interdisciplinary research environment at OCBE.
