Eligibility / Qualification
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Experience in development, characterization, and/or operation of particle detectors
- Knowledge of Linux, Python, and/or C++, and data analysis techniques
- Desirable: Understanding of microelectronics, FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog), radiation physics, and dosimetry
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills across physics, medical, and engineering domains
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and characterize semiconductor detectors, especially SiC radiation sensors
- Assemble and test SiC sensor modules in lab and beam environments
- Develop and characterize analog and digital electronics for high dynamic range readout
- Participate in collaborative R&D with MedAustron for applications in ion cancer therapy
- Present results at international conferences and schools for advanced training
