🎯 Eligibility/Qualification

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or related field
  • Also Considered: Exceptional Bachelor’s graduates with strong technical skills in optics and electromagnetics
  • Strong background or experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
    • Metamaterials or Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design
    • Cleanroom fabrication (lithography, deposition, etching)
    • Optical testing, nanophotonics, or quantum optics
    • Electromagnetic theory and optical simulations

🛠️ Job Description

  • Conduct cutting-edge research in metamaterials, nanophotonics, and PICs
  • Design and simulate waveguide structures and photonic devices
  • Participate in cleanroom-based fabrication and nanofabrication techniques
  • Perform optical testing and contribute to quantum sensing applications
  • Collaborate within a dynamic, interdisciplinary research group at UNC Charlotte
