✅ Eligibility / Qualification
- Open to candidates of any nationality and age
- Must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent second-cycle qualification) by 31 October 2025
- Degree must be valid for access to PhD studies in the country of origin and recognized in Italy
- Applicants with foreign degrees must provide certified translations and official recognition documents
- Those who will complete their degree by the deadline can apply with reservation
📝 Job Description
Selected candidates will:
- Enroll in a three-year PhD program
- Conduct original research in their chosen field
- Receive training in research methodologies, academic writing, and teaching
- Participate in seminars, workshops, and international collaborations
- Submit and defend a doctoral thesis by the end of the program
💰 Scholarship Details
- Annual gross scholarship: €16,243
- Additional funding:
- +50% for authorized research periods abroad (up to 12–18 months)
- €19,800/year for the top international candidate in each program
- 10% of the scholarship allocated for research expenses
- Scholarships may be funded by:
- Sapienza University
- Departments or external public/private institutions
- Some programs also offer non-funded positions
