Study Area: The PhD scholarships center around the study area of machine learning for remote sensing, specifically focusing on the development of methods and solutions using big data to extract valuable insights from Earth observation data.

Scholarship Description: The research, funded by ELLIIT, Vinnova, and Zenith, will leverage multimodal remote sensing data to enhance synergies among diverse Earth observation sources. Results will be disseminated through prestigious scientific journals and conferences, including IEEE TGRS, ISPRS JPRS, RSE, CVPR, NeurIPS, and ICML.

Eligibility: Applicants should hold an advanced degree in computer science and engineering or applied physics and electrical engineering, with a minimum of 240 ECTS credits, including 60 at cycle 2. Specialization in computer vision and remote sensing or equivalent knowledge is required. Proficiency in programming and remote sensing data analysis, along with strong mathematical maturity, is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, are also expected.
