Eligibility / Qualification

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent education in physics, electronics, or a related field. Master’s students may apply if they complete their final exam before July 1, 2025.
  • Proficiency in electronics and signal processing.
  • Programming experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently, possess strong collaboration skills, and communicate effectively in written and spoken English.

Advantages:

  • Practical experimental work experience with measurement technology.
  • Familiarity with electronics design, signal analysis, digital signal processing, numerical modeling, programming in Python or MATLAB, microprocessors, and scientific writing/publication.

Job Description

The PhD project will focus on developing methods for onboard processing, data compression, and enhancing data quality using advanced signal processing techniques. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and implementation of energy-efficient microprocessor solutions for underwater sensors, facilitating adaptive transmission and robust data management.
