| Skills | Highly skilled in numerical modeling and programming; experience in at least two of the following: hydrological models, calibration, data assimilation, satellite geodetic data processing, meteorological/hydrological data analysis. |
| Language Proficiency | Good English skills (oral and written) are required. |
Job Description
The PhD project is part of the research project “Drought Resilience through satellite-integrated Early warning And Monitoring (DREAM).” The successful candidate will develop a model-based drought index and improve drought prediction techniques by integrating satellite and in-situ observations into the VIC model. Responsibilities include identifying droughts, calibrating parameters, and making seasonal predictions of water dynamics under various dryness scenarios.
