PhD Student and Postdoctoral Fellow: The Globisch laboratory at Uppsala Universitet is seeking to fill one PhD student and one postdoctoral fellow position to join their multidisciplinary research group. The successful candidates will support the development of new Chemical Biology tools for chemoselective modification of metabolites.

Research Area: (Bio)Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology

Location: Uppsala Universitet, Sweden

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (PhD position) or PhD degree (Postdoctoral Fellow positon) with expertise in at least two of the following areas: (Bio)Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and mass spectrometric analysis of metabolites. Good English speaking, reading, and writing skills are required.

Job Description: The successful candidates will work on interdisciplinary research projects for chemoselective modification of metabolites. They will discover unknown bioactive metabolites in human and bacterial samples and support the development of new Chemical Biology tools for chemoselective modification of metabolites. Highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates interested in interdisciplinary research with strong interpersonal skills are preferred.
