Job Description
The successful candidate will join the group of Prof. Dr. Michael Wibral and collaborate with leading research groups from the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen and the Ruhr University of Bochum. The project focuses on identifying common information theoretic principles in neural systems across mammals and birds. Key tasks include:
- Developing novel information theoretic models and measures of neural computation
- Applying these models to electrophysiological recordings
- Analyzing predictive hierarchical information processing in primate and avian brains
The position is a part-time role (65%, approximately 25.87 hours per week) with a fixed-term contract of three years. Salary and working hours are based on the German grade 13 TV-L.
