PhD Student – DNA Damage and Transcription, NKI, Netherlands

Postdoc in Netherlands

PhD Student – DNA Damage: We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join Dr. Tineke Lenstra’s research team at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI). This project offers a unique opportunity to study the interplay between DNA damage and transcription at the single-molecule level. The research focuses on understanding the molecular consequences of DNA damage on RNA polymerases during transcription and its implications for cellular function, aging, and genome stability. Cutting-edge single-molecule microscopy techniques and live-cell imaging approaches will be used to visualize and quantify transcriptional fluctuations inside single cells.
