PhD Student – ECLectic (10 positions): The University of Bologna, Department of Chemistry, invites applications for 10 three-year PhD positions as part of the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network (HE-MSCA DN) titled “ElectroChemiLuminescence doctoral network for early sepsis diagnosis” (ECLectic). This multidisciplinary doctoral program aims to train the next generation of analytical scientists for innovative solutions in early sepsis diagnosis.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields (see project details)
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent academic transcripts
  • Motivated, outstanding students with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Description: Successful candidates will work on specific projects within the ECLectic program. Each position corresponds to a different project and involves diverse research areas such as ECL mechanism insight, carbon-based nanoparticles, metal water-soluble compounds, microfluidic platforms, DNA-based nanolevers, recombinant antibodies, and more (see detailed project descriptions).
