Research Area
The PhD project will explore the immunological mechanisms contributing to the development and progression of endometriosis, a chronic gynecological condition that impacts many women. The successful candidate will engage in isolating and analyzing immune cells and assessing the potential immunotherapeutic targets related to the disease.
Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates must hold a Diploma or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. A strong background in immunology and hands-on experience in immune/cellular biology is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills and be fluent in English.
Description
The position is part-time (65%) and initially limited to three years with a possibility of extension. It involves a diverse set of research tasks, including:
- Isolation and analysis of immune cells and immunoregulatory components
- Performing cell cultures and cellular assays
- Characterizing immune phenotypes
- Analyzing and interpreting scientific data
- Contributing to scientific publications and presentations
