Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biology, Biomedicine, or equivalent (minimum 240 credits, with at least 60 in advanced Bioengineering courses).
- Proven communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
- Highly motivated with a goal-oriented approach, and willing to work in a collaborative environment.
- Desirable expertise in:
- Organ-on-a-chip development and fabrication
- Human induced pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation
- Craniofacial biology
- 3D model generation with complex extracellular matrices
Job Description
The PhD candidate will:
- Develop bioengineered models of human trigeminal pain.
- Implement these models in organ-on-a-chip systems.
- Collaborate closely within the team and with academic and industry partners.
- Involve teaching or other departmental duties (up to 20% of full-time).
