Eligibility/Qualification

  • Strong interest in developmental, stem cell, and cancer biology
  • Experience or affinity with WNT signaling and mammary gland biology
  • Intrinsic motivation for fundamental research
  • Willingness to work with mice and supervise BSc/MSc students
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Description

The selected PhD candidate will:

  • Collaborate with a bioinformatician to refine a multi-gene signature for breast cancer patient stratification.
  • Conduct experimental research using various biochemical and molecular techniques to investigate the therapeutic modulation of the WNT/CTNNB1 pathway.
  • Present findings at national and international meetings and contribute to science communication and outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete and defend a PhD thesis within four years
  • Conduct experiments systematically and meticulously document progress
  • Assist in teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and master students
  • Participate in the Faculty of Science PhD training program
