PhD Student in Chemistry – Graphene: The University of A Coruña is seeking applications for a PhD student position in the field of Chemistry. The successful candidate will work on the synthesis of graphene precursors, focusing on carbon-carbon coupling reactions and the characterization of aromatic compounds. This position is part of a research project on graphene nanoribbons and offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in materials chemistry.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Enrolled in a SUG doctoral program related to the task content

Job Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks within a 12-month contract:

  • Synthesis of graphene precursors through carbon-carbon coupling reactions (Stage 1, 6 months).
  • Synthesis of polyphenylenes (Stage 2, 3 months).
  • Physical-chemical characterization of aromatic compounds (Stage 3, 3 months).
