Study Area: Applied Mathematics and Statistics

Scholarship Description: The PhD position focuses on the development and analysis of efficient multilevel methods for spatial network models. This research, funded by the Swedish Research Council, addresses computational challenges arising from multiscale data variation and complex geometric structures within spatial networks. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing the understanding and application of multilevel methods in this problem class.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a master’s or 4-year bachelor’s degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematical statistics, or a related field, or expect to complete such a degree by September 1, 2024. Proficiency in oral and written English, along with experience in areas such as partial differential equations, numerical analysis, computational methods, and programming, will be advantageous.
