PhD Student in Computer Science : Linköping University is seeking a highly motivated PhD student in Computer Science for the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP) Graduate School. The position is part of the national research program WASP, focusing on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. The candidate will work on the project “AI for Attack Identification, Response and Recovery (AIR²)” within the WASP NEST project. The research will specifically target “Learning Interpretable Models for Identifying Attacks and Countermeasures.”

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent coursework (at least 240 ECTS-credits, including 60 ECTS-credits from the second cycle in computer science).
  • Previous experience in areas such as automated planning, reinforcement learning, logic, or combinatorial optimization.
  • Excellent study results, strong programming skills, and proficiency in oral and written communication in English.

Job Description:

PhD Student in Computer Science within WASP Graduate School

  • Conduct research supervised by Jendrik Seipp, Associate Professor in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Work on the WASP NEST project “AI for Attack Identification, Response and Recovery (AIR²)” with a focus on “Learning Interpretable Models for Identifying Attacks and Countermeasures.”
  • Involve in theoretical and experimental work.
  • Devote most of the time to doctoral studies and research projects, with possible teaching or departmental duties up to 20% of full-time.
