Eligibility/Qualification

- Experience: Hands-on experience with molecular and cellular neuroscience is required; experience in molecular biology and (live-cell) fluorescence microscopy is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) and strong communication skills.

Job Description
As a PhD candidate, your main responsibilities will include:
- Investigating the molecular processes that control astrocyte-synapse interactions using techniques such as:
- Molecular biology
- Cell and tissue culture
- Viral delivery methods
- CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing
- Super-resolution microscopy
- Performing and analyzing microscopy data.
- Publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and reporting progress to funding sources.
- Contributing to teaching activities (~10% of time) and supervising BSc and/or MSc students during internships.
- Presenting research at international conferences.
