Job Description:
- Investigate the influence of earthworms, nematodes, and springtails on particulate and mineral-associated organic matter.
- Conduct experiments at various scales, including laboratory experiments, an Ecotron experiment, and field experiments.
- Perform physical fractionation of soil, biomarker (amino sugars) and DNA extractions, and gas-chromatographic measurements.
- Collaborate in setting up and maintaining laboratory and field experiments.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Soil Science or a related field.
- Experience in soil organic matter dynamics and stability, preferably related to soil fauna.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, preferably in R.
- Previous experience in biomarker extraction and gas-chromatographic analyses is a plus.
- Organizational skills, reliability, and a sense of responsibility.
- Fluent communication in English.
- Good interpersonal skills and effective time management.
