Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc or diploma degree in neuroscience, physics, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in two-photon calcium imaging, behavioral training, and surgical procedures is advantageous.
- Additional experience with immunohistochemistry and/or electron microscopy staining workflows is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Matlab or Python is preferred.
- Interest in exploring the function and structure of neuronal circuits in the healthy and diseased brain.
- Collaborative spirit to work with an interdisciplinary team of chemists, neurobiologists, beamline scientists, physicists, and engineers.
Job Description: The selected candidate will conduct in vivo two-photon calcium imaging in behaving mice, perform histology on brain tissue for light, electron, and X-ray microscopy, and engage in surgical procedures like cranial window implantation, perfusion, and tissue extraction. The primary task involves analyzing the functional, molecular, and structural profiles of neuronal circuits using acquired data.
