Part-time Research Associate/PhD Student – Physiology of Epithelial Sodium Channels

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Degree in natural sciences (Diploma/Master’s degree) in a life sciences subject (biology, biomedicine, or physiology).
- Specialist knowledge of physiology, especially membrane transport physiology.
- Experimental experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry techniques, and physiological techniques for investigating membrane transport processes (e.g., electrophysiology).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills (comparable to B2 level).
Job Description:
- Conduct research on the molecular physiology of isoforms of epithelial sodium channels (ENaCs).
- Utilize molecular biological, protein biochemical, and electrophysiological techniques.
- Evaluate and present research results, publishing in scientific journals, and presenting at national/international conferences.
- Support the supervision of students in experimental theses within the research cluster.
- Develop a scientific profile, potentially through a doctorate via the Promotionskolleg NRW.
