Eligibility/Qualification

General Eligibility Requirements:

  • A master’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
  • Completed courses comprising at least 240 credits, with at least 60 credits at the advanced/master level.
  • Equivalent knowledge acquired through other means may also be accepted.

Specific Eligibility Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English equivalent to the course English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school.

Job Description

The PhD project focuses on:

  • Studying amyloid formation in neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
  • Investigating the mechanisms of Tau protein aggregation and the role of molecular chaperones like the BRICHOS domain.
  • Performing cutting-edge research, analyzing data, and contributing to new therapeutic strategies against neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Engaging in courses (60 credits) related to the research topic, supervising undergraduate students, and attending international scientific conferences.
