Job Description:
The PhD student will engage in research aimed at enhancing the understanding of nitrogen cycling, focusing on the functional community ecology of nitrogen cycling microorganisms in soil. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, laboratory work to measure soil microbiome composition and functioning, as well as performing bioinformatic and statistical analyses. Collaboration on scientific publications and effective communication of research findings will be integral to this role. The position entails supervised research leading to a PhD thesis and completion of PhD courses totaling at least 30 higher education credits.
