Summary
The Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, a renowned research institution with a history of two Nobel Prizes, invites applications for a PhD Student position in Organometallic Catalysis. This opportunity is part of the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV (Ruhr Explores Solvation) within the Early Career research group “Catalysis” led by Dr. Hanna Hinrika Cramer. The position focuses on developing organometallic catalysts using earth-abundant first-row transition metals, combining experiments, quantum chemistry, and spectroscopy to study reaction mechanisms and the impact of solvation and catalyst design. The successful candidate will join the integrated Graduate School Solvation Science (iGSS) and benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative opportunities.
