PhD Student Position – Nanoscale: Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany, is offering a PhD student position within the “DyNano” research training programme. This position, led by Dr. Dmitry Momotenko, involves the fabrication and characterization of plasmonic structures using electrochemical 3D printing techniques. The successful candidate will need expertise in electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and material characterization.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed MSc. in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge in electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and material characterization.
  • Willingness to collaborate with researchers, especially from the Department of Physics at the University of Oldenburg.
  • Proficiency in the German language (desirable).
  • Experience with micro- or nanoelectrochemical techniques (desirable).

Job Description:

PhD Student Position in the Research Training Programme “DyNano – Dynamics on the Nanoscale”

  • Fabricate plasmonic structures using high-resolution electrochemical 3D printing techniques.
  • Characterize structures optically and electrochemically.
  • Act as a tutor in instrumental laboratory courses for chemistry programs.
  • Engage in collaborative research with colleagues.
  • Provide good communication skills, both spoken and written in English.
