Eligibility/Qualification

  • Masterโ€™s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, or related fields (biomedicine, chemical biology, molecular/cell biology).
  • Enthusiasm for learning and cooperative work attitude.
  • Strong interest in biochemical and cell biology or chemical biology.
  • Familiarity with biochemical and analytical methods, cell culture techniques, and/or animal handling is desirable.
  • Experience in bioinformatics or computational biology is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a highly motivated approach to conducting interdisciplinary research.
  • Very good command of English.

Job Description

  • Engage in projects investigating in vivo lipid metabolism at the organ level.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art alkyne lipid tracers and modern mass spectrometry lipidomics.
  • Work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christoph Thiele and PD Dr. L. Kuerschner.
  • Collaborate within an international team of scientists.
  • Participate in graduate school activities and benefit from supportive mentoring.
