Job Description / Research Work
The selected PhD student will work on the development and investigation of aptamer-based electrochemical sensors.
Key activities will include:
- Examining model aptamer-based sensors.
- Studying how sensor preparation conditions influence sensor performance.
- Using automated equipment to investigate aptamer self-assembled monolayer (SAM) formation.
- Applying impedimetric techniques to characterize aptamer-based sensors.
- Using dynamic electrochemical methods to obtain detailed information about sensor properties.
- Contributing to research aimed at improving the reliability and performance of aptamer-based sensors for potential early disease diagnosis.
- Participating in research training, lectures and potentially scientific travel.
