Research Area

The focus is on hybrid AI approaches, machine learning methods, generative AI, foundation models, and multimodal interaction applicable in industrial and service robotics and socio-technical assistance systems.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A completed university degree (Master or equivalent) in Computer Science
  • Knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python)
  • Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow) and 3D simulation environments (e.g., MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and independent working abilities
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in German and English, or the willingness to acquire very good knowledge of German quickly

Description

The candidate will:

  • Engage in research in Artificial Intelligence and human-robot interaction.
  • Conduct independent scientific work on a defined research topic.
  • Participate in teaching and research at the chair.
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish in reputable journals.
  • Develop and enhance robot demonstrators for research and teaching purposes.
  • Supervise seminar papers and theses.
