Research Area
The focus is on hybrid AI approaches, machine learning methods, generative AI, foundation models, and multimodal interaction applicable in industrial and service robotics and socio-technical assistance systems.
Eligibility/Qualification
- A completed university degree (Master or equivalent) in Computer Science
- Knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python)
- Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow) and 3D simulation environments (e.g., MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo) is an advantage
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and independent working abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in German and English, or the willingness to acquire very good knowledge of German quickly
Description
The candidate will:
- Engage in research in Artificial Intelligence and human-robot interaction.
- Conduct independent scientific work on a defined research topic.
- Participate in teaching and research at the chair.
- Present research findings at international conferences and publish in reputable journals.
- Develop and enhance robot demonstrators for research and teaching purposes.
- Supervise seminar papers and theses.
