Eligibility / Qualification:

Job Description / Project Overview:
- Design, produce, and characterize a Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium coating for industrial steel applications.
- Work with a steel company partner to ensure coatings are galvanic to steel, compatible with existing production lines, and competitive in performance.
- Conduct hands-on experiments using Swansea University’s £1.5 million Hot Dip Simulator to simulate galvanizing lines.
- Develop metallographic, electrochemical, and alloying skills under the guidance of supervisors, postdoctoral researchers, and fellow PhD students.
- Participate in site visits and industry interactions to bridge academic research and practical application.
