Eligibility: Applicants must hold an undergraduate or master’s degree in a relevant subject area. Scholarship Description: This PhD project explores structural changes in mitochondrial myopathy patients, focusing on nanotunnels and altered myonuclei organization. Leveraging state-of-the-art Bioimaging and Electron Microscopy facilities, the research aims to develop Correlative Live Light and Electron Microscopy methodology to study mitochondria in cells and tissues. Key objectives include characterizing myonuclei positioning, optimizing CLEM methodology, developing labeling techniques, and conducting siRNA knockdown experiments.
