Scholarship Description: The project explores the entire computational chain of efficient quantum machine learning, addressing challenges in encoding classical information into an entangled quantum state. The research includes studying classical dimensionality reduction methods, quantum encoding strategies, and novel statistical decoding stages. The project is inspired by problems in computational imaging, emphasizing applications in tomographic imaging, such as image classification, anomaly detection, and image de-noising.
Eligibility: A very good undergraduate degree (at least a UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent).
