Eligibility/Qualification:

- General Requirements: Completion of a second-cycle degree or 240 higher education credits (60 credits at the second cycle). Equivalent knowledge obtained elsewhere is also acceptable.
- Specific Requirements: As outlined in the general study plan for doctoral studies on the department’s website.
- Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in materials science, soft condensed matter, or polymer science.
- Proficiency in materials chemistry, electrochemistry, and device physics.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, creativity, and independence.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills in English (oral and written).
Job Description:
The research project focuses on developing sustainable organic semiconductors for bioelectronics applications, including diagnostic, environmental, and food monitoring sensors. The work is interdisciplinary, encompassing:
- Materials synthesis and development.
- Characterization and microstructure analysis.
- Performance evaluation in electrochemical transistors.
The PhD position is a fixed-term employment under Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100) and spans a maximum of four years of full-time doctoral education. The role may include teaching, research, or administrative duties up to 20%.
