PhD Teaching Assistant Position in Algorithm Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology

Research Area: Algorithm Engineering with a focus on combinatorial and geometric optimization for energy transition solutions.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science.
  • Research-oriented mindset.
  • Interest in developing teaching skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English (C1 level).

Job Description:
As a PhD Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Develop innovative models, algorithms, and systems for energy transition design challenges.
  • Specialize in combinatorial and geometric optimization aspects such as solar panel fitting and power distribution routing.
  • Enhance existing algorithms to provide practical and real-world applicable solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Algorithms (ALGO) cluster to advance algorithm design and data structures research.
  • Engage in teaching activities for 25% of your time.
