PKU-IIASA International Postdoctoral Fellowship: The PKU-IIASA International Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is a two-year initiative designed for postdoctoral researchers focusing on systems analysis and interdisciplinary research. The program offers an opportunity to work within and benefit from the research environments of Peking University (PKU) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), covering various fields such as technological, economic, environmental challenges, energy, ecology, ecosystems management, and natural resources management.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Applicants of all nationalities are invited.
- Candidates must have completed their PhD less than five years from the application deadline. Extensions to this period are provided under specific circumstances.
- Applicants over the age of 35 or those holding tenure/tenure-track faculty positions are not eligible.
- The fellowship requires physical presence at IIASA and does not support field research away from the institute.
Job Description: Fellows will engage in research that intersects their interests with IIASA’s agenda, developing skills in systems analysis applied to real-world problems. They will gain access to a vast network of international collaborators, enhancing their career prospects. The program requires spending the first year at PKU and the second year at IIASA.
How to Apply:
- Develop a research proposal that aligns with IIASA’s activities.
- Identify and contact potential supervisors from both PKU and IIASA to discuss the proposal.
- Complete the PKU-IIASA International Postdoctoral Fellowship Application Form.
- Compile a full CV or resume and prepare two recommendation letters (to be sent directly by referees).
- Obtain an endorsement letter from each envisaged supervisor at PKU and IIASA.
- Submit all documents (except recommendation letters) in one PDF file to the coordinators.
