Post-doc in Medicinal Chemistry: We are seeking a highly motivated Post-doctoral Researcher in Medicinal Chemistry to join our dynamic team at Université Cote d’Azur’s Institut de Chimie de Nice, in collaboration with Sanofi. This project focuses on the development of novel RNA ligands for therapeutic applications, utilizing innovative strategies such as RIBOTAC and covalent modification of RNA targets.

Title: Development of New Therapeutic Modalities for Targeting Non-coding RNAs

Designation: Post-doctoral Researcher

Research Area: Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology

Location:
Institut de Chimie de Nice (ICN), Faculté des Sciences, 28 avenue Valrose, 06100 Nice, France
Université Côte d’Azur – ICN

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or Chemical Biology obtained within the last 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in organic chemistry.
  • High motivation and interest in projects at the chemistry-biology interface.

Job Description:

  • Project Focus: RNA represents a promising therapeutic target for innovative drug discovery. This project aims to develop novel RNA ligands with properties that enable RNA degradation or covalent modification.
  • Approach: Utilize strategies like RIBOTAC (similar to PROTACS) and introduce chemical motifs for covalent RNA binding.
  • Evaluation: Assess the bioactive molecules for affinity, selectivity, and activity on various RNA targets in vitro and at the cellular level through biological collaborations.
  • Outcome: Design and synthesize optimized compounds for potential therapeutic applications.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should send the following documents:
