Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ambitious, highly motivated, self-driven, and a good team player.
- Knowledge of and experience in the design, fabrication, and characterization of integrated photonics circuits.
- Expertise in the deposition of optical materials, in particular sputter deposition, will be a plus.
- Hands-on expertise in both the operation and maintenance of PVD systems (i.e., sputtering, PLD, ALD).
- A Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in research, with publications in reputable academic journals and presentations in international scientific conferences.
- Good communication skills and an excellent command of English.
Job Description:
- Help set up and develop a 200 mm pilot microfabrication line for PICs in the aluminum oxide platform.
- Contribute to the development of a process design kit (PDK) of building blocks in the platform.
- Conduct research within a multidisciplinary and highly diverse environment.
- Active in networks for acquiring research funding, and have ambition and experience in working closely with companies and government agencies.

- Gross monthly salary depending on experience and qualifications from € 4.241,- to € 5.538,-.
