Post-Doc Research Associate in Biology: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for the position of Post-Doc Research Associate in the Department of Biology. The successful candidate will join the Kieber lab, contributing to groundbreaking research in plant biology, specifically focusing on signaling pathways in Arabidopsis and rice. This is a full-time temporary position with a duration of 24 months.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in biology or a related field at the time of start.
  • Experience in plant biology, molecular biology, and basic genetics.

Job Description: The individual hired for this position will conduct molecular, genetic, genomic, and biochemical studies of rice and/or Arabidopsis to unravel the role of cytokinin in growth and development. The research will contribute to the ongoing investigations in the Kieber lab, with a particular focus on phytohormones cytokinin and ethylene, as well as the regulation of plant cell wall biosynthesis.
