Post-Doctoral Assistant in Green Chemistry: Ghent University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Assistant position in the Department of Green Chemistry and Technology. Post-Doctoral Assistant in Green Chemistry and Technology

Designation:

Post-Doctoral Assistant (Temporary Appointment – 50%)

Physicochemical aspects of water technology and resource recovery

Location:

Ghent University, Belgium

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field
  • Research experience in physicochemical aspects of water technology and resource recovery
  • Proven record of research contributions, particularly in peer-reviewed journals
  • Strong interest in teaching and mentoring students
  • Proficient in Dutch and English
  • Equivalent certification for non-EU diplomas (NARIC) if applicable

Job Description:

  • Conduct academic research focusing at least 70% of the time on physicochemical aspects of water technology and resource recovery.
  • Assist in teaching activities at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level in environmental technology.
  • Organize courses, guest lectures, and company visits.
  • Counsel Master’s students on their projects and dissertations.
  • Guide doctoral students in their research activities.
