Vegetable Entomology Lab – Developing novel and sustainable IPM strategies for major vegetable production in South Georgia.
Location:
University of Georgia-Tifton Campus, Tifton Area
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in Entomology, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, or related discipline.
- Experience in host resistance, IPM practices, plant and soil health, vector biology, plant-insect interactions preferred.
Job Description:
- Perform individual and collaborative research projects in fields, greenhouses, and labs.
- Lead the implementation and execution of various research projects.
- Collect, analyze, and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
- Mentor and train undergraduate trainees, students, and technicians.
- Assist Principal Investigator (PI) in developing research proposals.
- Attend meetings and present research results at scientific proceedings/conferences.
