Post-Doctoral Associate – AD Research (Basu): Join a dynamic team at the University of Georgia to work on diverse vegetable crops, pests, and pathogens for developing innovative Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies in South Georgia.

Research Area:

Vegetable Entomology Lab – Developing novel and sustainable IPM strategies for major vegetable production in South Georgia.

Location:

University of Georgia-Tifton Campus, Tifton Area

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. degree in Entomology, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, or related discipline.
  • Experience in host resistance, IPM practices, plant and soil health, vector biology, plant-insect interactions preferred.

Job Description:

  • Perform individual and collaborative research projects in fields, greenhouses, and labs.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of various research projects.
  • Collect, analyze, and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Mentor and train undergraduate trainees, students, and technicians.
  • Assist Principal Investigator (PI) in developing research proposals.
  • Attend meetings and present research results at scientific proceedings/conferences.
