Post-Doctoral Fellow (30101): The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual for the position of Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and performance of a project, maintaining accurate lab notes and primary data, working independently under the supervision of Dr. Witkowski, presenting data to lab and group lab meetings, writing project summaries and manuscripts, supervising students rotating through the lab, and applying for postdoctoral and career transition grants.

Research Area: Cancer biology/molecular biology/biochemistry/bioinformatics or related field

Location: University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Denver, Colorado

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) in Cancer biology/molecular biology/biochemistry/bioinformatics or related field
  • Experience with advanced molecular tools (sc-RNA-seq, ChIP-seq)
  • Previous work with leukemia models and biology
  • Competence in basic molecular and cell biology assays
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, design experiments, and collaborate with peers
  • Proficiency in handling hazardous materials and following protocols
  • Able to work independently within a large collaborative environment

Job Description: The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be responsible for:

The starting salary range for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Entry yearly salary based on the table above. The yearly raise amount is determined by the PI based on candidate performance and must be approved by the Department administration. A lump sum of $10,000 signing bonus (pre-tax) will be provided for candidates to cover relocation and other expenses. For international candidates, $2,000 (pre-tax) will be provided for visa fees.

Please note that the above salary range represents the University’s estimate at the time of posting and this position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
