Post-Doctoral Fellow at TERG: We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the KK Lab in the School of Pharmacy & Biomolecular Sciences/Tissue Engineering Research Group at RCSI. The successful applicant will work on an IRC-SFI funded project focused on developing a therapeutic injectable technology for treating osteoporotic vertebral fractures.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or Biotechnology
  • Essential Knowledge & Experience:
    • In Vitro Cell Culture
    • Cell-Material (Hydrogel) Interface Interactions
    • Western Blotting, PCR
    • Good Writing and Communication Skills
    • Physiochemical Characterizations
    • Scientific Writing and Data Analysis

Job Description: The successful candidate will primarily work on a project titled “Nano-Engineered Biomaterial Delivery System with Controlled Strontium Release as a Reparative Treatment Strategy for Osteoporotic Vertebral Bone.” The project aims to develop an injectable biomaterial to restore structural integrity and function in osteoporotic vertebrae. Duties include:

  • Conducting experiments in the lab
  • Co-supervising undergraduate and master students
  • Scientific writing and analysis of data
