Job Description: As a Post-doctoral Fellow in LoFV, you will work collaboratively with our team to achieve the following project goals:
- Screen and characterize currently circulating coronaviruses to assess their zoonotic properties, including cell entry mechanisms and evasion of adaptive immune responses.
- Collaborate with machine-learning model experts to analyze laboratory data and extrapolate larger trends.
- Collaborate with structural and therapeutic development experts to model and optimize viral-host interfaces, vaccine antigens, and test antiviral interventions.
Critical Technical Skills: The ideal candidate should possess expertise in the following technical skills:
- Mammalian cell culture techniques
- Transfections and transductions
- Molecular cloning strategy design
- Western blot analysis
- PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)
- Sequence analysis
- Nucleic acid extraction and purification
- Experience with GraphPad Prism software
- Troubleshooting skills
