Post-Doctoral Fellow – Greenhouse Emissions: The Waikato Biogeochemistry and Ecohydrology Research (WaiBER) team is seeking a dedicated Post-Doctoral Fellow to join our research efforts in assessing greenhouse gas emissions from peat soils. Job Description:

The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and publish data on carbon balances of drained peat soils using eddy covariance techniques.
  • Investigate the relationship between water table dynamics and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Collaborate with modeling teams to enhance predictions of CO2 emissions from drained peat soils.
  • Contribute modestly to project administration and teaching activities.
  • Transition towards independent research work supported by a collaborative team environment.
