Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD or international equivalent in a relevant field, completed no more than three years prior to the employment decision.
- Maximum of 8 years post-doctoral experience allowed as per the project Grant Agreement with the European Commission.
- At least one original publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Strong background in relevant methods and a physicochemical understanding of proteins in solution.
- Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
- Compliance with MSCA mobility rules (must not have resided or conducted main activities in Sweden for more than 12 months in the last three years).
Job Description
The successful candidate will conduct research focused on the development of a universal cryo-Cage for structural analysis of proteins. Responsibilities include:
- Protein design, expression, purification, and validation using advanced techniques.
- Structure determination through cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM).
- Experiment design for evaluating protein self-assembly.
- Writing manuscripts and supervising bachelor and master projects.
- Teaching may also be included, accounting for up to 20% of working hours.
