Post-doctoral Fellow in Cancer Metabolism: The Meiser lab, funded by the ERC CoG program, is seeking a dedicated Post-doctoral Fellow in Cancer Metabolism. The project focuses on unraveling the mechanistic details of formate’s impact on cancer progression, specifically in relation to invasion and metastasis. The successful candidate will work within a state-of-the-art laboratory at the Department of Cancer Research, employing in vivo models and advanced metabolomics techniques. The position comes with training and mentoring opportunities, with the envisaged start date in May 2024.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Successful Ph.D. in biology
- Knowledge and keen interest in mammalian metabolism
- Hands-on experience in animal work and experimental lab techniques (cytometry, Western Blot, etc.)
- Experience with 3D models may be advantageous
- Open-minded, self-driven, and collaborative team player
Job Description:
- Investigate the oncogenic effects of formate on cancer progression, particularly in invasion and metastasis.
